Local Christmas Tree Festival a great success!
St Andrews in Farnham is holding it’s first Christmas Tree festival this year and guess who’s there too??
The Farnham community has come together to support their local church with it’s first Christmas Tree festival.
An exciting array of imaginative tree designs in all colours and sizes have been carefully displayed by over 80 members of the Farnham community, including businesses, charities, churches, schools, community groups and individuals. Traditional as well as modern, small as well as large, all displayed in this beautiful church that dates back to the eleventh century.
Some of Foray’s favourites include the hair rollers representing a local hair salon, sausages for the butcher and hand made musical notes and song sheet baubles from the choir (one made by Linda, our Company Accountant!)
Anyone can come and take a look between now and Sunday 6th December, opening times are 9.30am – 7pm and 12pm – 5pm on Sunday. Entrance is free and there is musical entertainment and refreshments throughout the day. Any donations given in appreciation during the festival will be used for the ongoing upkeep of St Andrew’s Parish Church
So – what did Forays decorate their tree with to best represent us? Tea bags? Cow figures? Dog leads??? Houses of course!!
