Linda’s Leaving
Linda Mills, Forays Homes’ Company Accountant has been with us for close to two decades. Sadly, as with all good things, Linda’s time with Forays has come to an end.
We had a lovely evening meal to wish Linda off and she had prepared a great poem about her many adventures with Forays Homes which she has shared.
Farewell to Forays
In the winter of 1998 I first set foot in the Old Exchange
As yet unaware my life would need a rearrange
I’ve seen liquidations, terminations, separations and cancellations
Until finally eighteen plus years later, a relocation
During the ride on the roller coaster called “life at the office”
I’ve had tears, laughter, pain and a surfeit of coffees.
From Neville’s Orchard to Tanglewood, to Archery Fields to Pottery Lane
Emotions (and profits) have risen, dropped and risen again.
It’s been a family affair and I’ve always felt part
Of the Atkinson clan who own part of my heart.
Now, it’s difficult to describe how I feel at the end of the line
Except of course that all “comfy sofas” get thrown out in time.
I would like to say thank you to all I have know.
For enriching my life, my horizons have grown.
I hope I continue to be part of your lives
As it’s not proving easy to turn off the vibes
And so, I will close, without further ado
And bid you farewell, adios, au revoir and adieu.
Linda, from the team at Forays Homes; we have been so fortunate to have you provide such permanence and loyalty to our company, you will be missed. We wish you all the best with your future endeavors.
