Business as usual ….

Following the Government’s announcement, we are pleased that construction and house moving can continue during the second national lockdown.

Our office-based staff are now back working from home, but we are very much open for business and we will continue to operate within the rules and guidance to ensure the safety of our staff, contractors and customers.

As ever, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Stay safe

Harts Mead, Smallfield, Nr Horley……

Work is well underway at Harts Mead in the popular village of Smallfield, Near Horley in Surrey!

This development consists of one 4 bedroom, three 3 bedroom and two 2 bedroom homes. The surrounding area offers excellent recreational and sporting facilities, including stunning countryside for walking, hiking and cycling along the local bridal paths.

Just a few miles away from Horley and Three Bridges for quick connections into London.

IT’S A WRAP …

All the homes at our Wyatts Almshouses, Wyatts Close development in Godalming have now been sold.

These Almshouses remained unaltered until c1957 when they were converted into eight apartments but had recently fallen into disrepair. The refurbishment and conversion of this historic Grade II listed building has been an exciting project for us to work on.

We hope the new custodians of this beautiful Grade I listed building, which now has six one bedroom apartments, one two bedroom house and six new one bedroom bungalows all with individual gardens and parking, will enjoy the charm and history that the site has to offer.

A little helper ….

Whilst we are all still working from home Lynda, our Accounts Assistant, has employed a little helper.

We’re Back……..

Following the advice from the Government we have started to reopen our sites.  The challenges we have all faced in the past few weeks have been complex, with the housing market taking its fair share.

The decision to return has been carefully considered with the safety and well-being of our staff, construction team and the public being at the forefront of our minds.

We will of course ensure that we all follow the government guidelines and look forward to inviting you to view our new homes, that are currently under construction, in the not too distant future.

For those that are ready to move now, our show home units are available to view by private appointment at our Wyatts Close development in Godalming.

Please contact our team on 01252 733885 or theteam@forays.co.uk for more information or to enquire about future developments.

Lockdown easing…..

After seven weeks it looks like Boris is looking to ease the lockdown and I am sure we are all eager to find out what our new normal will be.

These last seven weeks have been anything but quiet, all the Forays team have been working from home albeit in studies, dining rooms, lounges or bedrooms.

We are pleased and encouraged how many buyers have been keen to keep their plans in place and are delighted that we have been able to secure exchanges and completions in these difficult times, whilst of course adhering to the government guidelines.

This situation has changed our lives and the lives of everyone we work with and most people around the World, but we look forward to returning to the office and returning to some form of normality.

What has been very evident, and we would love to see continue when we are past this, and we WILL be past this at some point, is the massive sense of community spirit ! Long may this continue !

We would like to say a big thank you to the NHS and all the key and front line workers who have continued to serve our country through these unprecedented times, and wish everyone well to get through this.

Stay Well and Safe

The Forays Team

No place like home……

In homes all over the country those in lockdown are thinking about life after release and of post-virus life.

During these tough times I think we can all agree that this has taught us the value of our homes, be it a house or apartment. It’s true to say that for those without outside space the isolation has been much harder, but our homes have kept us safe.

During this unpresented time lockdown has given many of us the time to re-evaluate how and where we live. The way we communicate with colleagues, friends and family has changed, along with the way we shop, work and exercise.

Some of us will want a more substantial home where some of us will be looking to downsize.  Maybe some of us will look at a change in location, be it to the countryside or a bustling town or city, but our needs of what we need in a home…feeling safe and secure, won’t change.

Forays Homes are still open for business and will be back in our offices in Frimley when this emergency is over to continue building and help you with the purchase of your new home.
