Vote for Rog and Arran
So you’ve had enough of the udder nonsense from all of the political parties? It seems to us that they are more concerned with discrediting one another rather than actually letting us know how they are going to make a difference to us.
We thought we’d share a couple of interesting facts with you about our forthcoming election.
A manifesto is supposed to be a document which makes clear the policies for which it stands for. They have been used in UK elections since Robert Peel drew one up in 1835.
Did you know that if you want to receive a manifesto from The Labour Party or The Tories it will cost you £5.00 each. A Liberal Democrat version will cost you £7.50.
A voter rang Liberal Democrat head office and asked to buy a copy of the manifesto. “I’m sorry,” he was told, “we’ve sold out.” “I know,” said the voter, “but I’d still like a copy.”
A recent YouGov poll asked voters one of those really important questions. “What animal most closely resembled the political leaders?” Most voters said David Cameron resembled a snake. The same group said of Ed Milliband that he was “one of those animals that, when you go to the zoo, you’re not bothered whether you see it or not.”
And finally…did you know that Al Murray (The Pub Landlord comedian) is actually standing against Nigel Farage in Thanet, his party (FUKP) has issued it’s own manifesto on the back of a fag packet which includes his plan to “Build new houses for people who make stuff, to live in”
